Acoustic Open Mic

Free drink for every performer!

Acoustic open mic night every First Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pmish. Free and open to the public.

Our acoustic open mic night will be hosted by the talented and experienced musician, Yves Giraud who will help to facilitate the event and keep the energy flowing. He’ll provide all the necessary equipment, including microphones, speakers, and a sound system, so all you need to bring is your talent, instrument and enthusiasm. Note: we have a piano!

Sign-up is that night (starting at 5:30pm) – on a first come basis and is limited to 15 minutes per performance. Yves will have the sign-up sheet and will work with you to accommodate your performance.

We’re inviting all musicians and performers, regardless of experience level, to come and share their talent with us. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills and get some exposure. All genres of music are welcome, from folk to rock to jazz and beyond.

For those who just want to come and enjoy the music, we’ll have a full wine bar, craft beer, mocktails and snack board available, so you can sit back and relax while you listen to some great acoustic tunes.

We hope to see you soon at the ZU for an evening of unforgettable music and community building!

Acoustic Open Jam for Beginners

Are you fairly new with your instrument or singing and would like to start playing with others, but are intimated by larger jams?

Hosted by local musicians Jay and Amanda. They will be using this document of covers from our monthly “sing alongs” as our guide and will play songs together based on requests: https://docs.google.com/…/1frqUicrtXoYa7nakbz1N…/edit…

We will expand our document as interest grows— a good reference for Jam Songs are the Rise Up Singing and Rise Again books which can be purchased online.

Expectations: enthusiasm to learn, a basic understanding of major/minor chords for your instrument (if applicable), and a welcoming attitude. All ages and ability are welcome.

Please bring a music stand and instrument tuner if you have one. We look forward to seeing you there!
