Our acoustic open mic night will be hosted by the talented and experienced musician, Yves Giraud who will help to facilitate the event and keep the energy flowing. He’ll provide all the necessary equipment, including microphones, speakers, and a sound system, so all you need to bring is your talent, instrument and enthusiasm. Note: we have a piano!
Sign-up is that night before 5:45pm and 8 names (possibly more if time allows) will be drawn for the night. 15 minutes per performance. Yves will have the sign-up and will work with you to accommodate your performance.
We’re inviting all musicians and performers, regardless of experience level, to come and share their talent with us.
For those who just want to come and enjoy the music, we’ll have a full wine bar, local craft beer, mocktails and snack board available, so you can sit back and relax while you listen to some great acoustic tunes.
We hope to see you soon at the ZU for an evening of unforgettable music and community building!
Hosted by local musicians George, Linda, Teresa & Joe they will be using this document of covers from our monthly “sing alongs” as our guide and will play songs together based on requests: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cxQ0ZENoz9mkQmGMeVaV4RnbVXPqSYGOiomYABXhe74/edit?tab=t.0
We will expand our document as interest grows— a good reference for Jam Songs are the Rise Up Singing and Rise Again books which can be purchased online.
Expectations: enthusiasm to learn, a basic understanding of major/minor chords for your instrument (if applicable), and a welcoming attitude. All ages and ability are welcome.
Please bring a music stand and instrument tuner if you have one. We look forward to seeing you there!
Come to the ZU for the official After Party on Third Thursday with DJ P.A.!
The Photo Wall will be open and we’ll have dance music ready for you.
NO Cover – look for the ZU Animal at Third Thursday for free drink tokens.
Sit a bit and just listen. We are headed in to our 31st performance of the season and will be back in the Fall. See our past Listening Room performers below and check out our wall of fame at the gallery! We photograph each performer in our portrait studio, usually after their performance.
