If you are unsure if your item(s) will be considered, please email (no calls please) Jodi at meet@zugallery.com – include a photo and potential starting price for an expedited response.
ZU Gallery will evaluate and decide whether it is something we can sell. We may decline a consignment due to our current inventory levels, the item’s condition, style, or the asking price. Additionally, if an item isn’t in demand among our customers, we might not accept it. We carefully consider our customers’ preferences and know what will sell, so please don’t take it personally if we can’t consign your items. Make sure your items are ready to sell! We greatly appreciate you taking the time to touch up or clean your items before you drop them off.
Each consignment is a partnership and we want to price all items at fair market value so we can sell it quickly for you!
Consignors earn 50% of the selling price for items sold. Payments are made on the 15th of each month for the previous month’s sales via electronic payment (Venmo or PayPal) or bank check (mailed to you).
Our consignment contract lasts 60 calendar days. The period begins the day the item is placed on the sales floor. During this period, merchandise is marked down as follows: 15% after 15 days, 30% after 30 days, and 50% after 50 days. Consignors can retrieve their items at any time before they sell. If a consignor does not want their item(s) to be discounted, it is their responsibility to pick them up. After the 60-day contract ends, consignors have 14 business days to reclaim unsold items. Items not reclaimed will be donated to a local non-profit resale store.
For example: If you are selling a piece for $200 (you receive $100):
We will only accept items on specific days/times. Please make sure you have help unloading your items. You will be expected to complete a W-9 (if not already on file) and payment form as well as acknowledge these consignment requirements.
