Stop in Wednesday, September 13th, to connect with other locals with this free event. Don’t get caught up in small talk, but network and create deeper connections with those around you.
Time-frame:
Ninety minutes total – two sets of 30-minute conversations, transition times, and group input.
Structure:
Once everyone arrives, they put their names on slips of paper and add them to a basket. Each pairing is randomly drawn, and people who came together preferably are paired with someone they did not arrive with or know too well.
Each pair starts with short 1-minute introductions and then can move to a provided question sheet to guide them, or if they feel comfortable, they can dive into asking their own questions. The event is meant to be confidential between conversation partners. While it is not meant to be a dating event, the conversations should be meaningful and help build community connections and care.
A few agreements we hold for the group are respect, confidentiality, have fun, and active listening.
Thank you to Adam Fenton and Christine Rice for helping us facilitate this idea!
