My Man Godfrey (1936 – 95 minutes)) is a screwball masterpiece: a dizzy socialite pulls a man from a Manhattan homeless camp to be her family’s butler, and nothing goes the way anyone plans. Carole Lombard and William Powell are electric. The one-liners are still sharp 90 years later. And yes, there is champagne.
