This special edition class will paint an acrylic painting with a limited pallet exploring the expression of calm and peacefulness with the use of negative space.
All skill levels welcome. The artist, Karen Ellsbury, will be assisting and demonstrating the techniques and discussing the emotional impetus of the piece which she is calling “a blue moon moment.”
$50/person includes all materials and instruction, including a celebration of simplicity with sushi and sake.
About the Artist: Karen Ellsbury a lifelong resident of New Mexico is a vivacious and voracious lover of nature. She endeavored at a young age to see the world through artists eyes. Not just the physical aspects such as shape and color, but also the emotional and inspirational feelings mother earth evokes. She has been expressing herself through painting professionally for over 40 years.
Opening her Art Gallery with creative partner and spouse, Patrick Hazen in 2013, The couple began offering unique art and photography of the four corners area as well as art classes and a place for others to find their own voices, and help inspire the areas talented people in all genre of art.
